Buying Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) could help players save up to $5,000, according to British entrepreneur Mark Tilbury. The finance YouTuber believes the upcoming game offers hours of entertainment at a relatively low cost.
In an Instagram video posted on October 31, Tilbury compared gaming expenses with the cost of regular nights out. His calculations suggest that playing GTA 6 could be cheaper than spending money on entertainment outside.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. It will initially be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Tilbury’s claim has attracted attention because of the game’s expected price and extensive gameplay opportunities. However, his estimated savings depend on individual spending habits and playing time.
How GTA 6 Could Save Players $5,000
Tilbury based his calculation on the game’s $99.99 Ultimate Edition. He estimated that completing the main story could take approximately 80 hours.
At that price, players would spend around $1.25 per hour of entertainment. However, additional activities could increase the total playing time.
By including side missions and exploring the game world, Tilbury estimated the cost could fall to 50 cents per hour.
He also assumed that players would spend four hours gaming every evening. This would provide approximately 200 hours of entertainment across 50 nights.
Tilbury compared this experience with going out for entertainment. He estimated that someone could spend around $100 during each night out.
According to his calculation, 50 nights of entertainment outside would cost $5,000. He therefore described buying GTA 6 as a way to save that amount.
However, the $5,000 figure represents avoided spending rather than actual savings. The game itself also costs money, reducing the potential net savings.
Official GTA 6 Prices and Editions
The $99.99 price used in Tilbury’s calculation belongs to the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar Games has announced two editions for the upcoming release.
The Standard Edition costs $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99.
The Ultimate Edition includes additional digital content for players. These extras include premium vehicles, weapons, clothing, and in-game businesses.
Players who purchase the game before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also include one free month of GTA+.
Digital buyers can begin downloading the game on November 12. Physical copies will reportedly contain a download code instead of a traditional disc.
GTA 6 Price in Pakistani Rupees
At the interbank exchange rate of Rs. 276.76 per dollar, the editions have different estimated prices in Pakistan.
The Standard Edition would cost approximately Rs. 22,138. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition would cost around Rs. 27,673.
These estimates are based on the October 29 exchange rate. Additional bank charges and international payment taxes could increase the final cost.
Using the same gameplay estimates, the Standard Edition offers a lower entertainment cost. At 80 hours, it would cost approximately $1 per hour.
If players spend 200 hours playing, the cost would fall to around 40 cents per hour.
The Reality Behind the $5,000 Savings Claim
Tilbury’s $5,000 calculation depends on players regularly spending $100 on nights out. This spending level may not reflect everyone’s entertainment budget.
The calculation also excludes the price of the game itself. After subtracting the $99.99 Ultimate Edition cost, the estimated net savings become approximately $4,900.
The actual amount saved would depend on what players would otherwise spend. It would also vary according to their total playing hours.
Another important factor is the cost of gaming hardware. GTA 6 will initially require a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Players without either console must consider this additional expense. They will also need sufficient storage and internet data for downloading the game.

Therefore, the $5,000 estimate is based on specific spending assumptions. It does not represent guaranteed savings for every GTA 6 player.
