Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a slight increase on Wednesday after falling for two consecutive sessions. The latest rise followed an increase in international bullion prices.
According to market data, the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs800 on September 9. The new rate reached Rs462,936 per tola.
Gold had been priced at Rs462,136 per tola during the previous trading session. The latest increase reversed part of the losses recorded earlier in the week.
The price of 10-gram gold also increased during the session. It rose by Rs686 to reach Rs396,893.
The rise in local gold prices came as international bullion markets also moved higher. The global price of gold increased by $8 per ounce.
International gold reached $4,404 per ounce during the latest trading session. Movements in global bullion prices continue to influence gold rates in Pakistan.
Local gold prices are also affected by changes in the domestic market. Currency movements and international market conditions can influence daily rates.
Silver prices also recorded gains in Pakistan on Wednesday. The price of silver increased by Rs72 per tola.
Following the latest increase, silver reached Rs7,141 per tola in the local market. The move reflected the broader upward trend in precious metals.
Gold rates can change frequently because of movements in international bullion markets. Local demand and supply conditions can also influence prices.
Investors and consumers closely monitor daily gold rates in Pakistan. Gold remains a popular investment and savings option among households.
The latest increase comes after two days of declines in the domestic market. The change highlights the continued volatility in precious metal prices.
In Lahore, different market rates were also reported for gold-related categories. The reported rate for Piece stood at Rs454,500, compared with Rs454,000 previously.
The reported Pathoor rate in Lahore stood at Rs449,500. The previous rate for the category was Rs447,500.
Market participants are expected to continue watching international gold prices. Any major movement in global bullion markets could affect local prices in the coming sessions.
The dollar exchange rate will also remain an important factor for Pakistan’s bullion market. Changes in the rupee’s value can influence the local cost of imported gold.
The latest figures show that gold remains near historically high levels in the Pakistani market. However, daily fluctuations continue as international prices change.
Consumers planning to buy gold may therefore see further changes in the coming days. Investors are also likely to monitor global economic and geopolitical developments.
For now, gold has recovered slightly after its recent decline. The Rs800 increase has pushed the per-tola price back above Rs462,000.
The market will continue to track international bullion movements for further direction. Gold and silver prices could remain volatile as global markets respond to changing economic conditions.
