Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded on Wednesday after international gold rates reversed their earlier losses and moved higher.
According to the latest rates, gold gained Rs4,300 per tola to settle at Rs441,636. The increase came a day after the precious metal recorded a decline in the local market.
The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs3,686, reaching Rs378,631. The latest rise brought some recovery to the domestic gold market after the sharp decline recorded earlier in the week.
On Tuesday, gold had lost Rs800 per tola, with the price falling to Rs437,336. Wednesday’s increase therefore pushed the price back above the Rs440,000 level.
The movement in Pakistan followed a rebound in international gold prices. Gold in the international market jumped by $43 per ounce to reach $4,191 per ounce.
International gold prices have a direct impact on domestic bullion rates in Pakistan. Changes in global prices, along with currency movements and local market conditions, can influence the rates announced for buyers and sellers in the country.
Silver prices also recorded a recovery on Wednesday. The price of silver increased by Rs20 per tola to close at Rs6,578.
The latest movement highlights the continued volatility in precious metals markets. Gold prices have been moving sharply in response to changes in international market conditions, resulting in frequent adjustments in local rates.
For consumers, the changing prices remain important for both jewellery purchases and investment decisions. Buyers may continue to monitor daily rates before making purchases as the market remains sensitive to global movements.
Jewellers and investors are also closely watching international bullion prices because further changes in global rates could affect domestic prices in the coming sessions.
The Wednesday rebound comes shortly after gold experienced a significant decline. The recovery has brought the local price closer to the levels seen before the recent drop, although prices remain subject to further movement.
Silver, meanwhile, remained at Rs6,578 per tola after its modest recovery. Market participants are expected to continue tracking international precious metal prices for further direction.
