Gold prices in Pakistan remained around the Rs448,000 per tola level on Friday, September 25, 2026, after the precious metal recorded a sharp decline in the previous session. The latest market rate puts 24-karat gold at around Rs448,300 to Rs448,336 per tola, depending on the market update.
The previous session saw 24-karat gold fall by Rs5,600 per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs448,336. The price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams also decreased by Rs4,801 to Rs384,375.
The decline in Pakistan followed weakness in the international bullion market. International gold fell by $56 to around $4,258 per ounce during the previous session. Local gold prices generally move in response to international bullion prices, currency movements and domestic market conditions.
For other gold purities, the latest rates put 22-karat gold at around Rs410,942 per tola, while 21-karat gold is around Rs392,263 per tola. The 18-karat gold rate is around Rs336,225 per tola.
The latest movement comes after a period of volatility in the local gold market. Gold had remained above Rs450,000 per tola earlier in September before moving lower during the second half of the month. The September benchmark has fluctuated considerably, reflecting changes in both international prices and local market conditions.
Silver prices have also declined. The latest reported rate puts silver at around Rs6,837 per tola, following a decrease of Rs171 in the previous session. The international silver price also moved lower during the same period.
Gold rates can vary slightly between cities and individual jewellery shops because of local market conditions, dealer margins and making charges. The benchmark rate is used as a reference by markets across Pakistan.
Investors and buyers are closely watching international gold prices and currency movements as both factors can influence the local rate. Any major change in the global bullion market or the Pakistani rupee could lead to further movement in domestic gold prices.
