Once a close aide of Imran Khan, Chaudhry resigned from the party position amid a nationwide crackdown following the May 9 attacks. Subsequently, he announced a hiatus from politics and later disclosed his affiliation with the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP).

He played a crucial role in both the party and the federal cabinet. His tenure as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan spanned from August 2018 to January 2023.

Joining PTI in June 2016, Chaudhry was a core committee member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. In addition to his political career, he is a legal professional, political analyst, and has worked as an anchor for various media organizations.
