[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Faisal Karim Kundi, a prominent figure in the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), officially assumed the role of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor following his swearing-in ceremony on Saturday. The oath was administered by Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor’s House.
President Asif Ali Zardari had earlier endorsed the appointments of governors for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan. The decision came after PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari nominated two senior party members for the positions of KP and Punjab governors, as part of a pre-established agreement with the PML-N before joining the coalition government.

In Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, the president of the PML-N’s provincial chapter, was designated as the new governor.
A statement from the presidency announced that President Zardari sanctioned the appointments of Faisal Karim Kundi as the governor for KP, Sardar Saleem Haider for Punjab, and Mandokhail for Balochistan, under Article 101(1) of the Constitution.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
