Earthquake Shakes Islamabad, Rawalpindi And Other Cities
On Thursday, a seismic event measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale shook Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and portions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad reported that the earthquake struck at 3:55 pm, with its epicenter located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Its depth was recorded at 86 kilometers below the surface.

The tremors were also perceptible in various parts of the northwestern province of Pakistan, including Peshawar, Upper Dir, and Swat.
