Dubai Introduces Gaming Visa, Eligibility Details Provided

Dubai has introduced its pioneering Gaming Visa Initiative, offering content creators worldwide a new opportunity. The initiative aims to foster employment and training prospects within the gaming sector. In collaboration with prominent companies and academic institutions, Dubai is rolling out long-term cultural visas to attract skilled individuals, artists, and creators.

Operated under the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate, this initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to accommodating the creative industry. It is a key element of Dubai’s ambitious Program for Gaming 2033, targeting the creation of 30,000 jobs and a $1 billion increase in Gross Domestic Product.

The visa application process is streamlined via the official website, with email notifications provided on application status. Applicants must meet specific criteria, including a minimum age of 25 and submission of essential documents such as a passport copy and professional CV.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized the program’s goal to establish a nurturing environment for developers and attract leading tech firms globally. The initiative aims to support developers, designers, programmers, entrepreneurs, and startups in the creative industries.

Dubai aspires to become a global gaming hub, aiming for a place among the top ten cities for game companies by 2033. At the Dubai GameExpo Summit, initiatives were unveiled to spur growth in the gaming industry. The UAE and Saudi Arabia governments are diversifying revenue streams, exploring industries beyond fossil fuels.
