Dr Nabiha Ali Khan Sends Khula Papers to Haris Khokhar

Social media influencer and psychologist Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has formally initiated khula proceedings by sending legal dissolution papers to her husband, Haris Khokhar. The development comes months after the couple’s marital issues became public and sparked widespread discussion on social media.

Dr Nabiha shared a video on her Facebook page showing herself signing the legal documents. In the video, she expressed hope that no woman would have to experience similar circumstances in her married life.

Speaking about her decision, Dr Nabiha said she wished that no woman would have to live with a husband who, according to her, treated his wife in a humiliating manner. She did not disclose further legal details but indicated that she had formally begun the process of seeking khula, which is the legal right of a woman in Pakistan to seek the dissolution of her marriage through the courts.

The latest development follows months of speculation regarding the couple’s relationship. Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and Haris Khokhar announced their engagement and marriage last year, surprising many of her followers. However, reports of differences between the two began circulating only a few months after their wedding.

Earlier, during a television appearance, Dr Nabiha revealed that her marriage was facing serious challenges. At the time, she said the relationship had reached a stage where divorce was a possibility, although she had not confirmed that the marriage had officially ended.

She also alleged that if the marriage ended, her husband’s family would be responsible. According to Dr Nabiha, Haris Khokhar’s behavior towards her changed under the influence of his parents. She further questioned why the marriage had taken place if another match had already been preferred by his family.

As of now, Haris Khokhar has not publicly responded to Dr Nabiha’s latest announcement or the legal proceedings. The matter appears to be ongoing, and no court decision regarding the khula process has been announced.

The case has attracted significant attention on social media, where users continue to discuss the couple’s public statements. Further developments are expected as the legal process moves forward.
