Diarrhea cases shockingly increases among children in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

In the twin towns of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, a growing number of children are visiting hospitals and clinics with diarrhea. This is a significant risk, particularly for children under the age of five.

Although the condition has not yet reached pandemic proportions, physicians warn that if parents do not take precautions, it could quickly increase, especially with the pre-monsoon season approaching.

He expects an increase in instances as temperatures and humidity rise, unless parents take preventative precautions. In addition to consuming hot water, he recommends moms to use boiled water when preparing milk and to wash their hands prior with soap.

He also suggests boiling drinking water for 5-10 minutes before intake. He also emphasises the importance of washing children’s hands before and after meals, as well as after using the toilet.
