CTD Operation Eliminates Five Militants in Balochistan’s Duki Region

At least five militants were killed during a successful operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Duki area of Balochistan, officials confirmed on Saturday.

The raid was carried out based on intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists linked to a banned outfit. When security forces approached, the suspects opened fire, sparking a gunfight that resulted in the deaths of all five individuals.

According to CTD spokespersons, the militants were involved in multiple attacks on labourers, civilians, and security forces — particularly in the volatile Quetta mining belt. They were also allegedly connected to a series of abductions and targeted killings aimed at disrupting the province’s economic landscape.

While the identities of the slain militants are yet to be revealed, officials confirmed their affiliation with a proscribed group. Weapons and explosives were recovered from the site, and investigations are ongoing to dismantle the remaining network.
