Police in Bahawalpur have registered a case after a resident alleged that a man sexually abused his goat in Chak No. 120 DB.
According to the FIR, the complainant, a resident of Chak No. 122 DB, kept goats and had entrusted them to a man identified as Abid Ali, a resident of Chak No. 120 DB, for grazing.
The complainant told police that he came across a video circulating on social media on October 1, 2026, which he alleged showed the accused committing an unnatural act with his goat. The FIR was shared on social media by Kissan Pakistan.
According to the complainant’s statement, he showed the video to two witnesses before confronting the accused. The FIR states that the accused allegedly admitted to the act and sought forgiveness in the presence of the witnesses.
The complainant further alleged that an attempt was made to apprehend the accused after the incident came to light. However, the accused reportedly fled from the scene.
The FIR stated that further inquiries indicated that the alleged incident took place on September 30, 2026, at around 3pm or 4pm in the area of Chak No. 120 DB.
Police recorded the complainant’s application and said a prima facie offence under Section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code was made out. A formal case was subsequently registered.
The matter has now been handed over to a police investigation officer, who will investigate the allegations and gather evidence in accordance with the law.
The allegations have not been independently verified beyond the contents of the FIR. The registration of a case does not establish the accused’s guilt, and the allegations remain subject to investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings.
