Blast In Balochistan, CTD Officer Martyred, Two Injured

In Khuzdar, northwest Pakistan, a powerful explosion targeted a vehicle, resulting in the tragic demise of the Counter Terrorism Department’s SHO, while two others sustained injuries. The blast, caused by a magnetic bomb planted in the moving vehicle, occurred near Sultan Ibrahim Road in Balochistan’s Khuzdar on Sunday. Regrettably, a passerby also suffered injuries in this act of terror.

Upon the incident, law enforcement and rescue teams swiftly responded, transporting the deceased and injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Khuzdar. The site was cordoned off by the police and Frontier Corps personnel.

Balochistan’s caretaker CM Ali Mardan Khan Domki and others strongly condemned the attack, urging officials to conduct a thorough investigation and provide a comprehensive report. Expressing deep condolences to the grieving family, he denounced assaults on security personnel and instructed law enforcement to swiftly apprehend the perpetrator. The border areas adjacent to Afghanistan have witnessed an increase in terrorist activities in recent months, attributed to the resurgence of the TTP.
