The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha has launched an investigation into allegations that the results of some Class 9 students were changed after the announcement of the annual examination results.
The inquiry was initiated after the board received multiple complaints from students and other stakeholders raising concerns about alleged alterations to the recently announced results.
BISE Sargodha Controller Examinations Dr. Nazar Abbas confirmed that the complaints have been taken up for investigation and that a committee has been formed to examine the matter.
Two-member committee formed
According to the board, a two-member investigation committee has been constituted to look into the complaints and determine whether any changes were made to the Class 9 examination results.
The committee will examine the concerns raised by students and other stakeholders and review the circumstances surrounding the alleged changes.
The investigation is expected to establish whether the reported alterations actually occurred and, if so, how they took place.
Officials will also assess the reasons behind any changes identified during the inquiry.
Class 9 results announced on September 2
BISE Sargodha announced the Class 9 examination results on September 2, 2026.
The results are important for students as their Class 9 performance forms part of their secondary school academic record.
Following the announcement, multiple complaints were reportedly received by the board regarding alleged changes in students’ results.
The complaints prompted the board to begin a formal investigation rather than reaching an immediate conclusion about the allegations.
Board to determine responsibility
The investigation committee will not only examine whether results were changed but will also attempt to determine the reasons behind any alleged alterations.
If the inquiry establishes that wrongdoing took place, the committee will identify those responsible and recommend appropriate action, according to the information provided by the board.
At this stage, however, the allegations remain under investigation.
The board’s decision to form a committee indicates that officials want to establish the facts before determining whether any irregularity occurred.
Students’ concerns being examined
The complaints have raised concerns among students and other stakeholders who want clarity regarding the accuracy and integrity of the recently announced results.
The investigation will provide an opportunity for the board to review the complaints and examine the records connected to the alleged changes.
Students affected by the issue are expected to await the committee’s findings before any further action is announced.
BISE Sargodha has not yet announced the outcome of the inquiry or confirmed that any deliberate manipulation of results took place.
Investigation could lead to further action
The committee’s findings will determine the next course of action.
If the investigation finds that results were altered through an improper process, the board could identify the individuals responsible and take action under the relevant procedures.
If no wrongdoing is established, the inquiry could provide clarification to students and their families regarding the complaints.
For now, the BISE Sargodha investigation remains ongoing, with officials focused on reviewing the allegations and determining the facts surrounding the reported Class 9 result changes.
The development highlights the importance of maintaining transparency and accuracy in examination results, particularly when concerns are raised shortly after their announcement.
Students and parents are likely to follow the inquiry closely as they wait for the board to release its findings.
