Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF) in Wah. POF is the country’s largest defence industrial complex.
The visit focused on reviewing POF’s production capabilities, export potential and role in strengthening Pakistan’s defence industrial base. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) shared details of the visit in a press release.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir received a detailed briefing on different aspects of POF’s operations. Officials explained the organisation’s role in supporting national defence through indigenous development and production.
POF produces a diverse range of military equipment, arms and ammunition. Its local production capabilities are aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s defence preparedness and reducing dependence on foreign sources.

Asim Munir was also briefed about ongoing indigenisation and upgradation initiatives at POF. These efforts include the installation of two new industrial plants.
