Pakistani Tekken champion Arslan Ash has officially secured qualification for the Esports World Cup 2026 after delivering an impressive performance at the Road to EWC: DreamHack Atlanta tournament.
The Tekken 8 qualifying event was held during DreamHack Atlanta from May 15 to May 17 and featured some of the world’s top competitive gaming players. The tournament offered three direct qualification spots for the Esports World Cup 2026.
Arslan Ash successfully claimed one of the available spots after finishing in third place. The other qualification positions were secured by Mulgold and Keisuke.
Pakistan’s Presence Grows in Global Esports
With this achievement, Arslan Ash has become the sixth Pakistani player to qualify for the Esports World Cup 2026. The international esports tournament is scheduled to take place in Riyadh from July 6 to August 23, 2026.
His qualification is being viewed as another major milestone for Pakistan’s esports community, which has continued to gain recognition on the global stage over the past few years.
Gaming experts believe Arslan Ash’s consistent performances are helping strengthen Pakistan’s reputation in competitive fighting games, especially in the Tekken franchise.
Arslan Ash’s Journey From Lahore to Global Fame
Originally from Lahore, Arslan Ash started playing Tekken in local gaming arcades when he was only eight years old. Through years of dedication and competitive experience, he developed into one of the most successful players in Tekken history.
Over the years, he has earned international respect for his skills, strategy, and consistency against top-ranked players from around the world.
Multiple EVO Titles and International Success
Earlier in August, Arslan Ash achieved another major career milestone by winning his sixth Evolution Championship Series title at Evolution Championship Series 2025 in Las Vegas.
Representing Twisted Minds, he defeated fellow Pakistani competitor Atif Butt in the Tekken 8 Grand Final.
Arslan first gained worldwide attention in 2019 after winning a major Tekken 7 tournament in Japan. Since then, he has captured multiple EVO championships in the United States, secured third place at EVO 2022, won EVO Japan in 2023, and lifted another EVO trophy in 2024.
One of Tekken’s Greatest Players
Widely considered among the greatest Tekken players of all time, Arslan Ash was named ESPN’s Best Esports Player of 2019.
His list of achievements also includes victories at CEO 2021 and Combo Breaker 2022, where he defeated every opponent on his way to the Tekken 7 championship title.
