Arshad Sharif’s Daughter Aleeza Follows in Father’s Footsteps, Becomes Reporter

The daughter of the late Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif has embarked on a career in journalism as a reporter.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Aleeza Arshad has joined a private news channel where her father once hosted a current affairs show.

The decision has been praised by her father’s friends and colleagues. Arshad Sharif tragically lost his life in October 2022 when his car was shot at by Kenyan police near Nairobi. The incident sparked widespread condemnation, with some speculating it was a targeted assassination.

In response, a joint investigation team was formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the Supreme Court of Pakistan has appointed a commissioner to investigate the matter.
