110-Bed Hospital Becomes Operational in Balakot

A modern 110-Bed Hospital has been completed and made operational in Balakot. The facility will expand healthcare services for residents and tourists.

The hospital is located near the entrance to the Kaghan and Naran valleys. It will provide medical care throughout the year.

The facility is expected to serve both local communities and domestic tourists. Foreign visitors traveling to the popular tourist valleys can also access its services.

The project was completed by the Planning and Development Department. It was developed in coordination with the relevant government department.

The project was carried out on the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi. The total cost of the project was Rs. 924.5 million.

The 110-Bed Hospital has been equipped with several specialized medical departments. These services cover a wide range of healthcare needs.

The hospital offers General Surgery and General Medicine services. It also has departments for Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Patients can also receive Ophthalmology services at the new facility. Ear, Nose and Throat services are available as well.

The hospital also provides Orthopaedics services for patients requiring bone and joint treatment. Trauma and Emergency Services are available for urgent medical cases.

A dedicated Labour Room has also been established at the facility. The hospital includes an Intensive Care Unit for patients requiring critical care.

Dental Services are also available at the newly operational hospital. These departments are expected to improve access to essential treatment in the area.

The location of the hospital is particularly important for the region. Balakot serves as a gateway to the Kaghan and Naran valleys.

These areas attract large numbers of domestic and international tourists. The availability of emergency services could provide important support during accidents and other medical emergencies.

The new facility is expected to strengthen healthcare capacity in Balakot. It will provide patients with access to treatment closer to their communities.

The 110-Bed Hospital is also expected to reduce pressure on larger healthcare facilities. District Headquarters Hospital Mansehra and other major hospitals may benefit from the reduced patient load.

Timely treatment can be especially important for emergency cases in remote and tourist areas. The new hospital can help improve access to such services.

The facility’s year-round operation is expected to support residents and visitors alike. Its range of departments also provides broader medical coverage for the region.

The completion of the project represents an expansion of public healthcare infrastructure in Balakot. It adds additional capacity to serve the growing needs of the area.
