Members of the Ruet body will monitor the skies tonight in preparation for the Ramadan crescent sighting.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to assemble in Peshawar this evening (Monday) to witness the Ramadan moon. Chairman Maulana Khabir Azad will lead the body in Peshawar to observe the crescent, while meetings of other zonal and district committees will occur concurrently at their respective locations on Shaban 29 after Asr prayers for the Ramadan moon sighting of Hijri year 1445.
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that the Ramadan crescent was expected to be visible at 2 pm on Sunday, and it could be sighted on Monday evening.
Throughout Ramadan, Muslims intensify charitable efforts and organize public food drives, with people setting up roadside stalls for those returning home in the evening.
