Unknown Attackers Injure PTI Spokesperson Raoof Hasan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan was injured in an attack by unknown assailants in Islamabad. The incident occurred when Hasan was leaving a private TV channel’s office in the G-7 sector. As he exited the building, unidentified individuals assaulted him, causing injuries.

Witnesses reported that four assailants attacked Hasan, striking his face with an object outside the news channel in G-7 Markaz. The attackers fled when bystanders began to gather and intervene. Hasan sustained facial injuries during the attack.

The extent of Hasan’s injuries and the identities of the attackers remain undisclosed, raising concerns about the safety of political figures in Pakistan. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), PTI expressed outrage, labeling the incident as “very shameful and reprehensible.” PTI leader Shibli Faraz also condemned the attack, urging the government to take swift and stern action against the perpetrators during a Senate address.
