The University College of Medicine and Dentistry (UCMD), a constituent college of the University of Lahore, has announced 225 seats for the 2026-27 academic session. The admissions cover MBBS and BDS degree programs, including reserved seats for overseas students.
According to the admission notice, the college is offering 150 MBBS seats and 75 BDS seats. The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will manage admissions through its centralized online system for private medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
MBBS applications opened on October 23, 2026. Interested candidates can apply until November 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications for BDS will open on December 18, 2026, and close on January 1, 2027.
MBBS and BDS Seat Distribution
The University College of Medicine and Dentistry has allocated 150 seats for its 26th MBBS batch. The college is also offering 75 seats for its 27th BDS batch.
For MBBS, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has allocated 127 open-merit seats. The remaining 23 seats are reserved for overseas applicants.
The BDS program includes 64 open-merit seats and 11 overseas seats. These allocations provide opportunities for both local and eligible international candidates.
Approximately 15 percent of the total seats are reserved for foreign and overseas applicants under the applicable admission categories. Candidates must meet the relevant requirements before applying.
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS and BDS Admissions
The University College of Medicine and Dentistry has separate eligibility requirements for local and overseas applicants.
Local candidates must have completed FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification with at least 60 percent marks.
Applicants seeking MBBS admission must obtain at least 55 percent marks in MDCAT. Candidates applying for BDS must secure at least 50 percent marks in the same test.
Applicants must also meet the admission policy requirements implemented through UHS and the Punjab government.
Overseas and foreign candidates must fulfil the applicable academic and testing requirements for their respective admission categories.
How Will Admission Merit Be Calculated?
UHS will calculate merit using applicants’ Matriculation, FSc Pre-Medical, or equivalent examination results and MDCAT scores.
The merit formula assigns 10 percent weightage to Matriculation or SSC marks. FSc or HSSC Pre-Medical results carry 40 percent weightage.
The remaining 50 percent comes from the MDCAT score.
Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission. Final selection depends on merit, applicable seat quotas, and available vacancies.
