Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
With a new trailer set to drop tomorrow, Paramount Pictures has just released a new batch of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts character posters. This time, the focus is on the Maximals, with each Tweet revealing who will play the Autobots’ animalistic descendants.

We’ve known for a while that Ron Perlman will play Optimus Prime, but we can now confirm that he’ll be joined by Tongayi Chirisa (iZombie) as Cheetor, Michelle Yeoh (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as Airazor, and David Sobolov (The Flash) as Rhinox.

Fans of the franchise are very excited to see the Maximals on screen, and we’re curious to see how they compare to the Dinobots seen in Transformers: Age of Extinction. There may be spin-off potential, but that will depend on how well this latest installment of the franchise performs over the summer.

“Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ’90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons,” reads the movie’s brief synopsis.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released in theatres on June 9, 2023.
