This decision was made because the population is experiencing significant inflation, and the protracted crisis has even impacted holiday celebrations.

Government employees will receive their wages on June 23, approximately a week before Eid, according to a statement from the Finance Division. Employees who have retired will also receive their pensions on the same day.

Earlier this month, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted that Eid ul Azha will most likely fall on June 29. PMD further warned that overcast weather is likely in major cities during the Dhul-Hajj moon sighting on June 19.
