Tech Tycoon Elon Musk met Indian PM Modi

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Wednesday that he admires Prime Minister Narendra Modi because he “really wants to do the right thing for India.”

Musk told reporters after visiting Modi in New York that Modi genuinely cares about India and is pressuring Tesla to make significant investments there.

“I can say he really wants to do the right thing for India,” he said of PM Modi’s leadership role in making technology inclusive so that digital infrastructure may be constructed. He wants to be open, he wants to be supportive of new firms, but he also wants to make sure it benefits India, which is obviously the task I’m saying. I am fan of Modi,” to ANI.

Musk responded to PM Modi’s tweet about his meeting with business leaders in the United States, saying, “It was an honour to meet again.”

“I will also have the opportunity to meet business leaders, interact with the Indian community, and meet thought leaders from various walks of life in the United States.” “We seek to strengthen India-US ties in key sectors such as trade, commerce, innovation, technology, and others,” PM Modi tweeted.

He also revealed plans to visit India in the near future. When asked if PM Modi offered an invitation to him, he replied, “He did.” And, yeah, I’m thinking about returning to India next year. “I’m looking forward to it.”

Notably, this is PM Modi’s first meeting with Musk since he became the owner of Twitter. PM Modi previously met Musk in 2015 while visiting the Tesla Motors facility in California.

“Well, I’m actually very enthused about India’s future. “I believe India has more promise than any other large country in the world,” Musk told ANI.

Speaking on the meeting’s insights, Musk stated that PM Modi truly cares about India because he is pressuring them to make substantial investments in India, which they intend to do but are simply waiting for the perfect timing.

Earlier, Musk was asked if the automaker was interested in the Indian market during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “Absolutely,” he said.

He also stated that Tesla will most likely finalise a location for its India manufacturing before the end of this year.

“It was a fantastic meeting with the Prime Minister, and I really like him.” He visited our Tesla Fremont Factory several years ago, so we’ve known one other for quite some time” Musk.
