Tabish Hashmi recently appeared on a television show where he spoke about his potential entry into politics and shared his views on entertainment trends during Ramazan transmissions.

Discussing his future plans beyond comedy, Tabish Hashmi made it clear that he is not ready to step into politics just yet. He explained that he still needs more time, financial stability, and influence before making such a move. Referring to Iqrar ul Hassan, who left his long-standing career after over two decades, Hashmi said he would consider a similar path but only after completing a comparable journey. He noted that having spent only a few years in the industry, he still needs to focus on building his career and earning.

He emphasized that while he genuinely wants to contribute to the country, he must also secure his own future first. According to him, financial strength plays a crucial role in serving society effectively, adding that principles are truly tested during difficult financial times.

Sharing his thoughts on social media content and Ramazan shows, Tabish Hashmi said he sometimes finds such content amusing, but at other times it appears forced or desperate. He criticized staged segments and scripted phone calls often used to gain attention, stating that such tactics lack grace, especially during Ramazan.

He further explained that chasing views can sometimes push creators toward poor content choices, but repeating such behavior makes it intentional, something he personally avoids.

Known as one of Pakistan’s leading comedians, Tabish Hashmi has also stepped into acting. He recently made his film debut in Aag Lagay Basti Mein (2026) alongside Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan.
