Sunita Marshall, a Pakistani model and actor, has asked her followers to refrain from ‘harassing’ YouTuber Nadir Ali, who has gotten himself in hot water for asking the controversial issue.

The YouTuber has received harsh criticism for inquiring about the beliefs of the model, who is a member of the country’s minority Christian community.

Sunita thanked social media users for their support in an Instagram post on Wednesday, but asked them to “kindly not harass the interviewer anymore.”

“I would also request that the interviewing fraternity refrain from asking such personal questions in the future,” she added.

In a recent podcast, the model was asked why she had not converted to Islam yet, despite the fact that her in-laws and husband are Muslims.

“There is no pressure from Hassan or his family to convert to Islam.” People do comment on Instagram, but it doesn’t bother her,” she said.

She stated that if a person wishes to change their religion, they should do so by heart; otherwise, it is pointless. When questioned if her in-laws have ever pressured her into converting, Sunita stated that no one has ever forced her to change her religion, adding that they are all “very good” to her.

Following that, the YouTuber’s inconsiderate move garnered scathing criticism from individuals from all walks of life, including celebrities.

Nadia Afghan, an actress, slammed Ali for his “disgraceful line of questioning” on Instagram. She said, “[…] There is a village of idiots, and the population is flourishing.”

Mathira, a model, also blasted Ali, saying, “What the hell is wrong with this person and his question! This is completely incorrect. The host should be ashamed!”
