Sindh has become the first province in Pakistan to connect all its educational boards with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The initiative aims to improve the verification of academic records and strengthen transparency in examinations.
The Sindh government has signed an agreement with NADRA to integrate all provincial educational boards into its secure digital system. The agreement was signed during a ceremony attended by Sindh Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo, NADRA’s Director General, and chairmen of the educational boards.
The new system is expected to improve the security and reliability of academic records. It will also help authorities address issues involving fake degrees and examination fraud.
NADRA Integration to Help Prevent Fake Degrees
Sindh Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo said the integration would help prevent fraudulent academic qualifications. He also highlighted the issue of proxy examinations, where individuals take tests on behalf of other candidates.
Connecting educational boards with NADRA will allow authorities to improve record verification. It is also expected to support more transparent examination procedures across the province.
The initiative will help digitize academic records and make the verification process more reliable. It could also make it easier for institutions to confirm students’ qualifications when required.
The move comes as government departments continue adopting digital systems to improve public services. Integrating educational records with a national database is intended to strengthen the credibility of academic credentials.
Students to Access Verified Degrees Through Pak ID
Under the agreement, students will be able to access their verified educational degrees through the Pak ID application. This facility is expected to make academic credentials easier to obtain and verify.
The digital service could simplify the process for students who need to present their degrees for employment or further education. It will also provide a more convenient way to access verified academic information.
NADRA’s Director General said the authority would provide the integration facility to all educational boards free of charge. This arrangement will allow the boards to connect with the digital system without paying for the integration service.
The agreement marks a significant step towards digitizing educational records in Sindh. It aims to improve transparency, reduce the risk of academic fraud, and make degree verification more accessible.
