Sindh Govt to Introduce Digital Marketing Diploma in Public Colleges

In a groundbreaking move, the Sindh government has taken the decision to introduce a diploma program in digital marketing within the public colleges of the province.

This initiative will see the launch of the digital marketing diploma in 30 public sector colleges, with five in Karachi, four in Hyderabad, six in Mirpurkhas, four in Larkana, four in Sukkur, and five in Shaheed Benazirabad.

To create the framework and assess the technical aspects and logistics, the provincial government established a five-member committee.

Previously, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission granted approval for the digital marketing module.

Secretary Colleges, Sadaf Shaikh, provided insights about the diploma to a local publication. According to Shaikh, this diploma program will initially span one year, with students receiving two-hour daily classes on digital marketing. While the diploma is primarily designed for Computer Science students, students from other departments are also encouraged to participate.

Secretary Colleges expressed optimism that this digital marketing course would open up a variety of employment prospects for students once they pursue higher education at universities.

Simultaneously, the College Education Department has introduced an online system for the selection of college principals. According to College Education Department Deputy Secretary Rashid Ahmed Khoso, this initiative is set to revolutionize the process of appointing principals for government colleges in Sindh.
