Sindh Expands Peoples Bus Service With New Routes

The Sindh government is preparing to expand public transportation across the province. Several new routes are expected to become operational soon.

The decision was discussed during a meeting of the Sindh Transport Department. Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon chaired the meeting.

Officials reviewed plans to improve transportation facilities for residents. They also discussed several ongoing and upcoming transport projects across the province.

The meeting focused on expanding the Peoples Bus Service to more areas. Officials provided updates on the progress of new bus routes.

The Peoples Bus Service is expected to start operations on the Qambar Shahdadkot-Larkana route soon. Officials said buses have already reached Larkana.

The new route is expected to improve public transport options for people in the area. It will also provide another travel option between Qambar Shahdadkot and Larkana.

The meeting also covered plans for introducing double-decker buses. Authorities are currently completing arrangements for their arrival and operations.

Officials also reviewed preparations for the proposed electric vehicle taxi service. The operational model for the EV taxi project was discussed during the meeting.

The project is part of wider efforts to modernize public transportation in Sindh. Authorities are working on several initiatives aimed at improving travel facilities.

The meeting also included discussions about Pink Scooties and Bus Rapid Transit projects. These initiatives are being developed alongside the expansion of existing bus services.

Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements on time. He stressed the importance of launching services on the new routes without unnecessary delays.

Memon said the government wants to expand the Peoples Bus Service across the province. The goal is to provide better transportation facilities to residents.

The expansion could give more people access to affordable public transport. It may also improve connectivity between different cities and districts.

The government is also preparing to distribute Pink Scooties in Mirpurkhas. Memon announced that the distribution will take place on September 5.
