Shaheen Shah Afridi Soars to World No. 1 ODI Bowler Ranking

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has achieved the top spot in the ODI bowler rankings, marking the first time he has secured the number one ranking in any format of the game. This accomplishment comes on the heels of Shaheen’s outstanding performance during the 2023 World Cup in India, where he delivered a match-winning spell against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

In this crucial game, the towering left-arm pacer claimed three vital wickets, elevating his total wicket count to 16, which tied him for the leading wicket-taker position with Australian spinner Adam Zampa.

South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj currently occupies the fourth spot.

Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman have made noteworthy advances, climbing two positions each to secure the seventh and eighth spots, respectively.
