Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan remains India’s richest actor despite a reported decline of around Rs2,490 crore in his estimated wealth over the past year.
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2026, Khan’s estimated net worth is now around Rs10,000 crore, down from Rs12,490 crore in the 2025 edition of the list.
Despite the reported drop, Khan continues to hold the top position among India’s wealthiest actors, with his financial interests extending well beyond his work in films.
The valuation takes into account his earnings from acting and endorsements, along with his business interests in the entertainment and sports sectors.
SRK leads India’s richest actors
Khan remains significantly ahead of other major Bollywood stars featured on the list.
Amitabh Bachchan ranks second with an estimated net worth of Rs4,000 crore, while Salman Khan is placed third with Rs3,000 crore.
Hrithik Roshan follows with an estimated wealth of Rs2,500 crore.
The figures show the substantial gap between Khan’s reported wealth and that of the other actors included in the ranking.
While his acting career remains a major source of his earnings, Khan has built a broader business portfolio over the years, giving him additional sources of wealth.
Red Chillies Entertainment adds to business portfolio
One of Khan’s major business interests is Red Chillies Entertainment, which he co-founded with his wife, Gauri Khan.
The company began primarily as a film production venture and later expanded into other areas of entertainment, including visual effects.
Its involvement in film production and related entertainment activities has helped establish Khan as a businessman alongside his career as an actor and producer.
His financial profile also includes his association with Knight Riders Sports, which has interests in cricket franchises, including the Indian Premier League team Kolkata Knight Riders.
These ventures have diversified Khan’s income beyond film acting, endorsements and individual movie releases.
SRK set for ‘King’ release
The latest wealth figures come as Shah Rukh Khan prepares for his next major theatrical project, King.
The action thriller is being directed by Siddharth Anand and is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
Khan is set to headline the film, while his daughter Suhana Khan is also part of the cast.
Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma have also been reported as being associated with the project.
The film is expected to mark Khan’s return to the big screen following his highly successful run in 2023.
Khan’s 2023 comeback
Shah Rukh Khan last appeared in cinemas in 2023, when he starred in three major releases: Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki.
Pathaan marked his return as a leading man after a period without a major theatrical release, followed by Jawan and Dunki later that year.
The three films kept Khan at the centre of Bollywood’s theatrical landscape and contributed to renewed attention around his career.
His upcoming film King has therefore attracted considerable interest as his next major release.
During a recent Ask Me Anything session on X, Khan reportedly assured a fan that King would arrive on its scheduled release date. He also indicated that additional details about the project would be revealed before December 24.
Wealth decline does not change his reported ranking
Although Khan’s estimated wealth has fallen from Rs12,490 crore to Rs10,000 crore according to the Hurun India Rich List figures cited in the report, he continues to rank ahead of other Indian actors in the 2026 list.
The difference of approximately Rs2,490 crore represents a substantial decline in the reported valuation, but Khan’s business interests in entertainment and sports continue to form an important part of his overall financial profile.
His position also reflects how leading Bollywood figures have increasingly expanded their careers into production, sports and other commercial ventures.
With King scheduled for release later this year, Khan is now preparing for another major phase of his film career while continuing his involvement in businesses outside acting.
