Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that his highly anticipated film King remains scheduled for release on December 24, 2026, while also praising Ranveer Singh’s two-part film Dhurandhar.
Khan shared the updates during a recent #AskSRK session on X, where fans asked him about both Dhurandhar and his upcoming project King.
Shah Rukh Khan Praises Dhurandhar
During the interaction, a fan asked Shah Rukh Khan whether he had watched Dhurandhar, which stars Ranveer Singh and has generated significant discussion among audiences.
Khan confirmed that he had watched both parts of the film and praised the work of the entire team.
The superstar wrote that he “loved both the parts”, describing the film as fantastic and praising everyone involved in its making.
His comments marked a public reaction from Khan to the two-part project and added to the attention surrounding the film within the Indian entertainment industry.
King Release Date Remains December 24
Shah Rukh Khan also used the session to address questions about the release of King.
A fan asked whether the movie could be postponed from its currently announced date. Khan dismissed the possibility and confirmed that the film is still scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
In his response, Khan used a playful reference to the other major releases around the same period, saying that audiences should think of the other pieces while describing King as the “tasty Tikki in the centre.”
The statement reassured fans that there is currently no announced change to the film’s December release date.
First King Dialogue Revealed
Following the #AskSRK interaction, Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment shared what it described as the first dialogue from King.
A new video showed a visual representation of the film’s script while Khan delivered the dialogue through a voice-over.

The dialogue also included a reference to the movie’s December 24 release date, reinforcing the date Khan had confirmed during his interaction with fans.

King is being directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously worked with Shah Rukh Khan on the 2023 action film Pathaan.
The upcoming movie features an extensive ensemble cast, with Shah Rukh Khan joined by Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi.
The project marks another collaboration between Khan and Anand following the success of Pathaan, which also starred Deepika Padukone.
