Shadab initially appeared to be in significant distress but ultimately left the field without needing a stretcher.

This incident took place as South Africa began their chase in the first over of the innings. Iftikhar was bowling, and on the second ball, Shadab, while fielding to prevent a run, suffered the injury.

Pakistan batted first but could only muster a total of 270 runs in 46.3 overs. Saud Shakeel and skipper Babar Azam both contributed with fifty runs each, which were pivotal in Pakistan’s innings.

The Proteas’ pursuit of the target of 271 runs has just commenced, and Pakistan must put up a strong bowling performance to defend the total in this crucial must-win game.
