Applications have opened for the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships 2026, offering financial support to eligible Pakistani women pursuing higher education at HEC-recognized universities in Pakistan.
The scholarship programme is funded by the Scottish Government and administered by the British Council Pakistan. It aims to improve access to higher education for women by reducing financial barriers and encouraging academic and professional development.
Selected students will receive financial assistance covering tuition fees. The scholarship also provides support for university hostel expenses, where applicable, and two return trips between the student’s home and university each year. The programme does not cover overseas study, international airfare, or international living expenses.
The initiative is designed to empower Pakistani women by supporting them in completing higher education and developing skills that contribute to their future careers and Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
Eligible applicants must meet the scholarship criteria and apply through the official British Council Pakistan portal.
