While the moon sighting committee in Pakistan is set to convene on Monday to ascertain the start of Ramadan, Saudi Arabia’s announcement anticipates the beginning of fasting on Monday in the kingdom and neighboring Arab and Middle Eastern nations.

In Pakistan, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad is scheduled to lead the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s meeting on Monday evening in Peshawar to observe the crescent. The committee chairman urges all Pakistanis to participate in moon-sighting activities, expressing the hope that Ramadan will commence uniformly across the country if the moon is sighted.
