In Sarfaraz’s absence, all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz will lead Quetta, with Bismillah Khan picked as the wicketkeeper’s replacement.
Sarfaraz was injured in Monday’s play against Karachi Kings after receiving a blow on his left ring finger from pacer Naseem Shah’s explosive delivery.
The Gladiators captain was transferred to a nearby hospital for tests.
Although there is no fracture, the former Pakistan captain is still in discomfort, according to sources.
Sarfaraz was also unable to complete wicketkeeping responsibilities for the final 2.2 overs of the innings due to the injury. Umar Akmal took his position and retained the wickets for the rest of the innings.
Sarfaraz, on the other hand, made his way to the crease after taking pain relievers when his team needed him to bat. His finger was also carefully bandaged to prevent the injury from worsening.
Martin Guptill once again demonstrated his supremacy and guided Gladiators to a four-wicket victory after getting his maiden PSL century against Kings in their last match this season.
Gladiators’ batting line collapsed again again as they were set to chase 165 runs in their 22nd PSL 8 game. Omair Bin Yousuf (8) was out in the second over, followed by a string of dismissals.

Iftikhar Ahmed failed to score again in this year’s PSL, adding only four runs to the total.
The Gladiators were 63-5 when Guptill and skipper Sarfaraz took over the innings. The two batters combined for 95 runs in 57 balls, with Guptill contributing the most.
Guptill scored an unbroken 86 runs to lead Gladiators to a much-needed victory. His devastating blow contained nine boundaries and four maximums. Sarfaraz scored 29 points out of a possible 25 in his team’s victory.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
