Salman, Pooja’s romance dominates ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ trailer hints Less action, more love

After everyone saw Shah Rukh Khan’s magnanimous Pathaan, the wait for Salman Khan’s upcoming Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan became even more difficult. The trailer for the action thriller was released on Monday, much to the delight of fans. While fans appreciated the hint of a love story, many were disappointed by the “lack of action sequences.”

The trailer, which lasts just over three minutes, teases two subplots for the film: Salman and Pooja Hedge’s budding romance and the enemies of ‘Bhaijaan’ – the name he goes by in the film. The first half of the clip features cheesy one-liners from the lead couple, only to be interrupted by Salman’s enemies coming after his love and her family – a family that is strictly against violence. On Monday, the thriller was released. While fans appreciated the hint of a love story, many were disappointed by the “lack of action sequences.”

The Bhaijaan now takes it upon himself to fight off all goons on his own in the name of “self-defense,” proving his opponents wrong about their desire for power through violence. “When a violent man pursues a nonviolent person, the nonviolent person requires the support of a very violent man,” Salman says in the trailer, implying that he’ll even “die” for Pooja and her family.

The trailer is a little gory, with buildings collapsing and hammers flying through the air, but what’s an action thriller without some blood? Farhad Samji’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan promises a “face-breaking, bone-cracking, neck-twisting, hammer-hitting” action saga. The film, which contains all commercial formula film elements, will be released on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr April 21.

It also features Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Venkatesh, Vijender Singh, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, and Abhimanyu Singh, who were all seen in the trailer. Previously, the film was titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.

This isn’t the first time Salman has released a film on the occasion of Eid. For a long time, the actor has enjoyed success with his holiday releases. Some examples include Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bodyguard, Sultan, and Dabangg. Salman was most recently seen in a cameo appearance in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan. Aside from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman is working on Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif.
