Bollywood veteran screenwriter Salim Khan recently revealed that his son, megastar Salman Khan, “lacks the courage” to get married. Salman Khan, a 58-year-old actor with nearly 100 Hindi-language films to his credit, is adored by fans for his romantic and action roles, as well as his numerous prestigious awards. Despite his extensive career spanning over 30 years, a question that often arises is why Salman has never tied the knot.
A video circulating on social media shows Salim Khan discussing his son’s single status and why he never progressed his relationships to marriage. “Salman easily gets into relationships with any girl but doesn’t dare to get married,” Salim remarked. He described Salman as a simple man who always considers whether the woman he marries will be able to manage the family as his mother did. “When Salman dates a girl, he always looks for qualities and abilities that his mother possesses,” he further stated.Â

Salim Khan elaborated that Salman desires a wife who would dedicate her time and attention to her husband and children, just as his mother did. He also noted that Salman wants a wife who would cook for the family and handle all household responsibilities. This traditional outlook on marriage and family life might be one reason behind Salman’s reluctance to marry.
Salman Khan, the eldest of Salim Khan’s three sons, has dated several prominent Bollywood actresses, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Somy Ali, and Sangeeta Bijlani. His long-standing relationship with Aishwarya Rai was particularly notable and nearly led to marriage before it ended. Media reports suggest that his decision to remain unmarried might be influenced by this past relationship.
Salman was last seen in the thriller film “Tiger 3,” which performed well at the box office. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film also starred Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles. He is reportedly set to star in director Vishnuvardhan’s upcoming film “The Bull,” though an official announcement is still awaited. Additionally, Salman has “Tiger vs Pathaan” lined up, a project featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
