Renowned Actor Nisar Qadri Passes Away at 82

Veteran actor Nisar Qadri has peacefully passed away at the age of 82 in Rawalpindi after a prolonged illness.

Survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter, the actor’s funeral prayers are scheduled to take place at Eidgah ground, Chaklala.

Qadri initiated his career at Radio Pakistan in 1966, gaining prominence through his contributions to Pakistan Television (PTV) dramas.

In acknowledgment of his dedicated service to PTV, film, radio, and theatre, he was honored with the President’s Pride of Performance award in 2016.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed deep sorrow and grief upon learning about Qadri’s demise. The premier extended condolences to the grieving family and offered prayers for the departed soul.

Interim Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi also shared his sadness over Qadri’s passing, expressing solidarity with the bereaved family. He prayed for strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss.

Reflecting on the late actor’s exceptional acting prowess, Solangi emphasized that Qadri’s departure has left an irreplaceable void in the entertainment industry, and his contributions to national television will always be remembered.
