Indian superstar Rajinikanth has reportedly asked director Nelson Dilipkumar to include a song featuring Tamannaah Bhatia in the upcoming film Jailer 2, recalling the popularity of her dance performance in the original movie.
Speaking at a promotional event for the sequel, Rajinikanth described Tamannaah’s absence as the one missing element and revealed that he had requested Nelson to reserve a song for the actress.
“The only missing element in Jailer 2 is Tamannaah. I told Nelson to keep one song for Tamannaah,” the veteran actor said.
Nelson responded that he could not add a song simply because Rajinikanth liked the idea. The actor then explained that his long career had been shaped by paying attention to what audiences enjoy.
“I’m still in the field because I’m doing what audiences are loving,” Rajinikanth said.
Tamannaah’s ‘Kaavaalaa’ Became a Hit
Tamannaah appeared in the 2023 action film Jailer, starring Rajinikanth. Her dance number, Kaavaalaa, became one of the film’s most talked-about musical sequences.
The song gained widespread attention for its choreography, music and Tamannaah’s energetic performance, attracting audiences across social media platforms.
Rajinikanth’s latest comments suggest that he would welcome another memorable musical sequence featuring the actress in the sequel. However, his request does not confirm that Tamannaah or a new song will appear in Jailer 2.
What to Expect From Jailer 2
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 features Rajinikanth in the lead role and is expected to continue the story and style of the original action drama.
According to reports cited in the source, the sequel is associated with several prominent actors, including Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff. Hrithik Roshan and Vijay Sethupathi have also been reported to be involved in cameo roles.
The film has attracted attention because of Rajinikanth’s return and anticipation surrounding its cast, action sequences and music.
Fans Await Tamannaah’s Possible Return
Rajinikanth’s comments have added to speculation about whether Tamannaah could feature in the sequel with another special dance number.
Her performance in Kaavaalaa remains closely associated with the first film, making the possibility of another appearance an appealing prospect for fans.
For now, the actor’s remarks reflect his interest in including the actress, but the final decision rests with the filmmakers. An official confirmation would be needed before her participation or a new song can be treated as final.
