In a significant announcement for the education sector, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has made the decision to incorporate the Punjabi language as a subject in schools.

Expressing her gratitude at a ceremony commemorating Punjab Culture Day at Alhamra Hall, CM Punjab extended thanks to the province’s citizens for placing trust in her leadership.

During her address, she underscored the resilience of Punjabi women, emphasizing their indispensable role as the backbone of their families. Additionally, CM Punjab encouraged parents to instill Punjabi language proficiency in their children and pledged support for the revival of Punjabi cinema.

Reflecting on Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, Maryam Nawaz expressed concern over the diminishing sense of pride associated with the Punjabi language.

Upon her arrival at the ceremony, the Chief Minister received a warm welcome from Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, who commended the first CM of the province for her dedicated efforts in promoting Punjabi culture.

The event was attended by Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Chief Secretary, Secretary of Information and Culture, along with other notable officials.
