Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has directed all public and private schools across the province to strictly follow the official summer vacation schedule and not reopen before August 24.
In a statement, the minister said schools must remain closed until the notified reopening date and warned administrations against resuming academic activities before August 24.
Rana Sikandar Hayat said the Punjab government had allocated one full month during the summer holidays for remedial learning camps to help students recover learning losses and strengthen their academic performance ahead of the new school session.
He said the remedial learning initiative was introduced to improve educational outcomes and provide students with additional academic support before regular classes resume.
The minister urged all public and private educational institutions to fully comply with the government’s directives and ensure that the officially announced summer vacation schedule is observed without exception.
He emphasized that adherence to the notified reopening date is essential for maintaining uniformity across schools and ensuring the effective implementation of the province’s education plan.
