[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Ahead of August 14, the interim administration in Punjab has imposed a ban on planned rallies.Sources indicate that a special meeting focused on maintaining law and order during Independence Day was convened by the interim Punjab Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi.
The meeting saw the participation of several officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary for Interior, Inspector General of Police, Additional IG for the Special Branch, Capital City Police Officer, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and others.
During the session, Chief Minister Naqvi instructed the Punjab Inspector-General to ensure the safety of citizens across the province on Independence Day. He also directed r; elevant authorities to take strong measures against individuals who disrupt public order.

Furthermore, the interim government of Punjab has clarified that only the act of raising the national flag will be permitted on August 14, with no political parties allowed to hold rallies.
Additionally, CM Naqvi emphasized that strict actions would be taken against those who incite violence, engage in disorderly conduct, perform stunts like one-wheeling, and modify motorcycles in public spaces on Independence Day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
