Punjab Clears Rs. 1 Million Salaries for PECTAA MDs

The Punjab Education Curriculum Training & Assessment Authority (PECTAA) Board has approved the payment of salaries for three managing directors appointed at the administrative level, resolving an issue that had remained pending for several months.

According to officials, the three managing directors were appointed with a monthly salary of Rs. 1 million each. However, salary payments were halted after objections were raised regarding the remuneration package.

Sources said the matter was subsequently referred to the relevant provincial board for review. Following a detailed examination, recommendations were prepared and forwarded to the provincial cabinet for approval.

The provincial cabinet has now approved those recommendations, clearing the way for the release of the pending salaries.

With the approval in place, the three managing directors, who had reportedly been awaiting their dues for the past eight months, will now receive their outstanding payments.

The decision brings an end to a prolonged administrative issue that had delayed salary disbursement despite the appointments already having been made.
