The Punjab Finance Department has approved Rs4 billion for the payment of salaries and stipends to College Teacher Interns (CTIs) across the province.
The funds are expected to support the recruitment and placement of thousands of temporary teaching staff in government colleges as the provincial government works to address teaching requirements in higher education institutions.
According to officials, the financial arrangements have been completed, while the release of funds to the Higher Education Department will take place after the required recruitment approval is granted.
Rs4 Billion Approved for CTI Payments
The Punjab Finance Department has approved an allocation of Rs4 billion for salaries and stipends of College Teacher Interns.
The funds will initially be transferred to the Higher Education Department, which will use the allocation for payments to CTIs following the completion of the recruitment process.
