Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party founded by the incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has announced new nationwide protests demanding his release. The movement is set to begin this Sunday in Punjab, Pakistan’s most populous region, with Hammad Azhar spearheading the rallies there. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, CM Ali Amin Gandapur will lead the efforts, while Haleem Adil Sheikh will head the protests in Sindh.
PTI has declared that the demonstrations will persist until Imran Khan is freed and the constitution is fully restored. Despite facing significant challenges, including police crackdowns, baton charges, and the arrests of key leaders during previous rallies and demonstrations, the party remains resolute in its mission.
