The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced 1,958 vacancies for Charge Nurse Female BS-16 positions across Punjab. The recruitment has been announced through Advertisement No. 10/2026 for the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department.
The appointments will be made on a three-year contract basis. Eligible female candidates and female transgender candidates with a Punjab domicile can apply through the PPSC online application system.
Out of the total 1,958 vacancies, 1,801 seats are available on open merit. Another 59 positions have been reserved for special persons, while 98 seats have been allocated under the minority quota.
Candidates applying for the Charge Nurse positions must meet the required educational and professional registration conditions. Applicants with a four-year B.Sc. Nursing degree and valid registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) are eligible to apply.
Candidates holding a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery can also apply, provided they have valid PNC registration. Preference will be given to applicants who completed their nursing education from government institutions.
The age requirement for female candidates is between 21 and 28 years. An additional age relaxation of eight years is available, taking the maximum age limit to 36 years. For transgender applicants, age and gender information will be considered according to their CNIC records.
Applicants must have a domicile from any district of Punjab. Those selected for the positions may be posted anywhere in the province according to the requirements of the department.
The recruitment process may include a written examination conducted by PPSC. The test will consist of multiple-choice questions and will carry 100 marks. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the examination.
Questions in the test will be based on the candidate’s relevant qualification. Applicants who successfully complete the required stages will proceed further according to the applicable PPSC recruitment rules.
