Against the British Pound, the rupee gained 77 paisas. The pound closed at Rs. 373.86 compared with Rs. 374.64 previously.
The PKR also strengthened against the Australian Dollar. It gained Rs. 1.09 against the Australian currency.
The Australian Dollar closed at around Rs. 197.72. The previous rate stood at approximately Rs. 198.81.
The rupee posted its strongest gain against the Euro among the listed major currencies. It gained Rs. 1.77 against the European currency.
The Euro closed at Rs. 319.94 on Monday. It was previously recorded at Rs. 321.71.
The Canadian Dollar also weakened against the PKR during the session. The rupee gained around 58 paisas against the Canadian currency.
The Canadian Dollar closed at Rs. 199.70. The previous rate was approximately Rs. 200.28.
The PKR remained largely stable against the UAE Dirham. The currency recorded a small gain of around 0.25 paisa.
The UAE Dirham closed at Rs. 75.50. It was previously recorded at approximately Rs. 75.50.
The rupee also strengthened against the Saudi Riyal. It gained around two paisas during the trading session.
The Saudi Riyal closed at Rs. 73.84. Its previous rate stood at approximately Rs. 73.85.
The Malaysian Ringgit also declined against the Pakistani currency. The PKR gained around 14 paisas against it.
However, the rupee weakened slightly against the Chinese Yuan. The Yuan gained around 1.19 paisas against the PKR.
Overall, the latest currency figures showed continued stability for the Pakistani rupee. The PKR has maintained its gains against the US Dollar for several months.
The continued appreciation reflects the latest movements in the foreign exchange market. The dollar closed at around Rs. 277.31 during Monday’s trading session.
