The Pakistani rupee continued its positive run against the US Dollar on Monday. The PKR closed higher against the US currency for the 244th consecutive day.
The rupee gained one paisa against the US Dollar during Monday’s trading session. It closed at Rs. 277.25 against the dollar.
The PKR has maintained a consistent upward trend against the US Dollar since December 25, 2025. Monday’s movement extended the rupee’s streak to 244 consecutive days.
A day trader also shared expectations about the Canadian Dollar. According to the trader, the Canadian Dollar could fall toward Rs. 195 this week.
The trader linked this possibility to Canada’s ongoing difficulties surrounding its trade offer with the United States. Such developments could create room for the PKR to gain further against the Canadian Dollar.
Rupee Movement Against Other Currencies
The rupee recorded mixed movements against major international currencies on Monday. It lost ground against several currencies while gaining against others.
The Pakistani currency weakened by 56 paisas against the British Pound. It also lost 18 paisas against the Australian Dollar.
The rupee declined by seven paisas against the Euro. However, it gained 14 paisas against the Canadian Dollar.
The PKR also closed in positive territory against the UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal. The changes remained relatively small in both cases.
According to the provided exchange rate data, the US Dollar was recorded at 277.2228. This represented a change of 0.0294 from the previous reported rate.
The Euro stood at 318.3488, while the British Pound was recorded at 371.1181. The Australian Dollar closed at 197.7153.
The Canadian Dollar was recorded at 197.8891. The Malaysian Ringgit stood at 68.0135, while the Chinese Yuan reached 41.4040.
The UAE Dirham was recorded at 75.4820. The Saudi Riyal stood at 73.8031.
PKR Maintains Long Dollar Gains
The rupee’s continued gains against the US Dollar have extended a trend that began in late December 2025. The latest session added another day to the currency’s positive streak.
However, movements against other currencies remained mixed during Monday’s session. The rupee faced pressure against the British Pound, Euro, and Australian Dollar.
At the same time, it strengthened against the Canadian Dollar, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal.
The latest currency movements reflect changes in the exchange rates recorded during the trading session. Market conditions can influence the rupee’s performance against different international currencies.
