Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to introduce three weekly flights between Islamabad and Birmingham from December 1, 2026, giving passengers another travel option between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The new service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Boeing 777 aircraft. Both outbound and return flights will follow the same three-day weekly schedule, according to the announced timetable.
The addition is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers travelling between Islamabad and Birmingham, including people visiting family, students and other travellers moving between the two countries.
PIA Islamabad–Birmingham Flights to Start December 1
PIA will begin operating the Islamabad–Birmingham service on December 1, with flights scheduled three times a week.
The airline will use Boeing 777 aircraft for the route. The aircraft will operate both the outbound journey from Islamabad and the return service from Birmingham.
The new schedule gives passengers a clearer option for planning trips between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, particularly those who prefer to travel through Islamabad.
Passengers should check the airline’s official booking system for ticket availability, fares and any updates before finalising their travel plans.

Birmingham to Islamabad Return Flight Timings
For the return journey, PIA will operate flight PK792 from Birmingham to Islamabad on the same three days each week.
The announced return schedule is:
- Flight number: PK792

Boeing 777 Aircraft to Operate the Route
PIA will use Boeing 777 aircraft for both directions of the service. The aircraft will operate the three weekly flights between Islamabad and Birmingham under the new schedule.
Using the same aircraft type for the route will provide a defined operating arrangement for the airline’s planned service. Details such as seat availability, cabin configuration, baggage allowances and onboard facilities should be confirmed through PIA’s booking channels.
Passengers are also advised to review their tickets for the applicable check-in requirements and departure information before travelling.
What the New Route Means for Pakistan–UK Travellers
The Islamabad–Birmingham service will give passengers another scheduled option for travelling between Pakistan and the UK.
Birmingham is an important destination for people visiting relatives, pursuing education, travelling for business or returning to the United Kingdom after a stay in Pakistan. The new service could make planning journeys between the two cities more convenient for passengers whose travel dates match the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday schedule.
The flights may also provide additional choice for travellers comparing routes, departure times and fares. However, the practical benefits for individual passengers will depend on ticket availability, pricing and their specific travel requirements.
Those travelling onward from Birmingham should also consider the time needed for immigration, baggage collection and ground transport after arrival.
How to Check Tickets and Confirm Flight Details
Passengers planning to use the new service should consult PIA’s official booking platform to check whether seats are available for their preferred dates.
Travellers should confirm the departure and arrival times, ticket prices, baggage rules and any applicable booking conditions before purchasing tickets. Flight schedules may change, so checking the latest details close to departure is also advisable.
The new service is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2026, with three flights per week in each direction between Islamabad and Birmingham.
